IS&T provides access to Duo, a two-factor authentication application that leverages cellphones, landlines and smartphones as an "Approve" or "Deny" system to identify users. Duo is a self-service web application that is being used for Touchstone-enabled web applications at MIT.

- An existing MIT Kerberos username/password or MIT X.509 certificate

Note: If you don't have or don't want to use a smartphone for your second authentication factor, or if you want a backup option, you can request a USB hardware token (YubiKey) to generate one time passcodes for use with Duo.
