Requirements

QuickBase offers support for all modern browsers, including Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, and Internet Explorer.

To build applications in QuickBase, you will need an administrator account. Simply follow the steps within QuickBase to create a new app. A message will be sent to the MIT QuickBase administrators and an account will be created for you.

MIT is offering the Office Apps for mobile platform, which includes integration with Dropbox.

  • OneNote is available as a separate download but does not integrate with Dropbox

License Terms

  • If you leave or graduate from MIT, the account will follow the normal deactivation process and deactivate after a 30-day grace period.
  • The account will remain in read only status and you can move it to a personal account.

  • An existing MIT Kerberos username/password or MIT X.509 certificate
  • Makes use of Duo Two-Factor Authentication which helps keep your LastPass account secure, by ensuring that an attacker will not be able access your data, even if they obtain your LastPass Master Password.

DocuSign is a cloud service that provides electronic signature technology for the signing of contracts and signed documents.

Falcon Crowdstrike Some users who upgraded to 10.11, have experienced kernel panics. Vendor has released a patch that is currently being tested and will be available soon.
Gatekeeper Gatekeeper requires that developers sign applications using a certificate provided by Apple. Because some applications have not yet been signed by their developers, Gatekeeper may prevent some newly downloaded applications and installers from launching [mitigation instructions].
Mosh Need to reinstall from the Mosh page.
Outlook 2011

Outlook for Mac 2011 on OS X 10.11 hangs during account sync operation.

How to Obtain

Duo Security

IS&T provides access to Duo, a two-factor authentication application that leverages cellphones, landlines and smartphones as an "Approve" or "Deny" system to identify users. Duo is a self-service web application that is being used for Touchstone-enabled web applications at MIT.

Campus DAS (Distributed Antenna System)

MIT has partnered with AT&T to build a neutral-host Distributed Antenna System (DAS) on the MIT campus. The DAS is a network of antenna nodes connected to a common radio frequency source via a transport medium that provides improved cellular coverage and capacity within a building.

The DAS is open to all wireless carriers. IS&T is continuously working with wireless carriers to make coverage and capacity improvements on campus.

Crowdstrike Falcon is currently not supported on macOS Sierra.

Machines that upgrade to macOS Sierra will not be affected, however new installations will be unable to install the client. The software grid will be updated when Crowdstrike releases a new version.

FileMaker Server 15

FileMaker, Inc. is planning to release an update in the near future to address compatibility issues with macOS Sierra 10.12 as well as other general bug fixes.

The MathWorks recommends that you learn more on mathworks.com and do not upgrade to macOS 10.12 at this time if you are impacted.
